FAQs
How do I make payment?
Payment can be made on the day of your appointment via cash or BACS transfer. Please let me know if you require an invoice.
Is parking available at the clinic?
Yes, there is free private parking available at the Farringdon clinic.
Is the clinic accessible?
The treatment room is on the ground floor with two steps leading to the entrance. If you require assistance with the steps, please let me know and I will be happy to help.
Do I have to participate in sports for a sports massage?
No. Sports massage can benefit anyone, whether you are an athlete or non-athlete. Please see the Treatments section for more information on the benefits of sports massage.
What availability do you have?
Availability varies, but I generally offer:
- Clinic appointments: Monday to Saturday, 9:30am – 7:00pm
- Mobile appointments: Monday to Saturday, 9:30am – 1:30pm
Please contact me for current appointment availability.
What should I wear to my appointment?
To ensure an accurate visual assessment, I encourage clients to bring shorts to their appointment. This also allows me to carry out treatments on the legs effectively.
It may be necessary to remove clothing down to your underwear to allow treatment of certain areas, although towels will always be provided to keep you covered and comfortable.
Can I be treated if I am pregnant?
Unfortunately, I do not currently provide treatment for anyone who is pregnant.
Which techniques do you use in your treatments?
Treatments incorporate a range of sports massage techniques including:
- Soft tissue release
- Passive stretching
- Muscle energy techniques
- Trigger point therapy
- Myofascial release
- Scar tissue friction work
I do not currently offer dry cupping, dry needling, taping or shockwave therapy.
When can I go to the gym following my treatment?
Unless your treatment is pre-event (for example, before a marathon or match day), I do not recommend exercising on the same day after treatment.
I encourage you to prioritise rest and rehydration. There is no reason why you cannot return to the gym the following day.
When would treatment not be advised?
Treatment is only carried out with your written consent.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide treatment if you are:
- Pregnant
- Under 18 years of age
- Currently suffering from a contagious infection
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
If you have an acute injury, please allow at least 72 hours before booking your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that I can offer the appointment to someone else.
Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a charge of 50% of the treatment cost, although allowances may be made in exceptional circumstances.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes. Please contact me if you would like to purchase a gift voucher. Vouchers can be collected, posted to you, or sent by email.
